Paperback does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. This applies to every platform Paperback is available on.

Your documents and data

Any document you open, along with your reading position, bookmarks, and settings, stays entirely on your own device. Paperback has no server, sends nothing over the network on its own, and has no way to access what you're reading.

Permissions

On Android, Paperback requests:

None of these are used to collect or transmit data; they exist solely to make the app function.

Third-party links

Paperback's website and in-app menus link to external sites (like GitHub and PayPal) for source code, sponsorship, and donations. These are optional, user-initiated, and governed by their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

Paperback is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age, consistent with the rest of this policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
